"My first online class made it clear it was as effective if not more than an in-person lesson. It allowed us to jump right into the lesson, and after it ended, I jumped right into practice, making the whole experience more effective."

INTRODUCING DUET: YOU, YOUR TEACHER, AND ZERO BOUNDARIES

Learning to play a musical instrument is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. Studying music in person, even with an excellent instructor, can be a challenge, and without the right teacher and tools, learning virtually can feel almost impossible. When an instructor uses a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone to teach students, the limited quality and visibility makes learning music harder and more frustrating than it needs to be.

Duet, by Octopus Music School isn’t a flashy app or subscription to pre-recorded one-size-fits-all videos. It’s a platform for live one-on-one study which allows our instructors to interface with students in new and exciting ways by teaching from studios equipped with multiple cameras and professional sound equipment. Lessons are presented in stunning high-definition, enabling students to see detail like they never have before.

PRISTINE HD VIDEO

By utilizing as many as six HD cameras, Duet allows teachers to show students many useful angles that put technique demonstration perfectly into focus with no fuss or downtime; there is even a picture-in-picture feature to show two angles simultaneously! Teachers can switch on the fly from a bird's eye view to one that shows pedal work and even combine the two to make learning easier than it's ever been.

CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO

While seeing your instructor is important, what would a music lesson be without detailed audio that doesn't cut out every time your teacher speaks and doesn't break up when they play something loud? Duet utilizes multiple microphones specifically designed for each instrument, along with a dedicated microphone for your instructor to speak to you, each with it's own volume control to ensure everything stays perfectly balanced.
